Underdog. This is a title many drivers who sit inside built muscle cars enjoy when going up against a supercar. One of these exotic-threatening slabs of America can be found in the video below.
We're referring to a fifth-gen Camaro SS that has received a set of serious mods. With the newly gained confidence, the driver of the Camaro decided to throw his Chevy at nothing less than a Lamborghini Huracan.
The two battled it out at the drag strip and we have to tell you the Camaro got extremely close to showing the power of the aftermarket world to the Raging Bull.
The Huracan in question came in stock trim, which means that it could've completed the quarter mile run in as little as 10.4 seconds.
As for the Camaro, which appears to be fitted with a manual, this has come far, far away from its (very) high 12s 1/4-mile time of the factory spec.
Now, before anybody changes their view on the Huracan, allow us to mention that these Lambos can reach an otherworldly level of performance when the tuning world decides to fully dip into their potential.
Despite the Huracan's young age, Underground Racing has already used the tons of knowledge gained with the Gallardo platform to come up with a kit that takes things past 2,300 hp and uses a racing sequential transmission.
Nicknamed UR2, the tuner's development car managed to impress the speed traps with a velocity of 238.6 mph (384.14 km/h) while playing the standing half-mile game. And yes, this is a world record as far as street-legal vehicles are concerned.
P.S.: While the naturally aspirated V10 of the Lamborghini and the V8 of the Camaro do make for a wonderful duet, don't expect too much from the soundtrack of this video. Blame it on the kids in the background.
