Arctic Trucks, the well-known extreme automotive company from Iceland with operations in the UK, North America, Northern Europe, and the UAE, has officially announced the iconic AT35 package for the L663 Defender at its home in the United Kingdom.
Back when the original Land Rover Defender was still in production, customers loved to hate its ruggedly charming looks because it could withstand almost anything. The modern incarnation – dubbed L663 internally – saw the new kind of Defender morph into a luxury four-wheel drive vehicle that's more prone to tackling the mall's parking lot than remote trails all around the world.

No worries. Even with the new unibody construction, Land Rover tried to make it supremely capable of handling any 4x4 situation. When that wasn't enough, the aftermarket realm could take over and do even better than the iconic British automaker. For example, almost two years ago, Iceland-based Arctic Trucks' Russian subsidiary decided that the Land Rover 110 needed the legendary AT35 treatment to survive Russian-style snowy trails in sub-zero weather.

We have been waiting on more markets to receive the L663 Arctic Trucks Land Rover Defender AT35 treatment ever since, and finally, now there's an official build package for the home market of the United Kingdom. Recently announced officially for the Defender 110 with right-hand drive, the Land Rover Defender Arctic Trucks AT35 is apparently the result of no less than five years of testing across the group, from the "arctic tundra to deep desert environments and beyond."

Arctic Trucks gifts the Land Rover Defender L663 a new, 20-mm lifted, ten-position adjustable Bilstein suspension system, 20-inch satin black forged dual valve Arctic Trucks ET-25 wheels, and either 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain or KM3 mud-terrain tires, plus the signature Arctic Trucks widened flares for a completely rugged stance.

Aside from the reengineering, the company also wants the Defender AT35 to look good in any situation, so there's a "recessed AT tire pressure detail" on wide front wide flares, aluminum, and high-grip rubberized side steps, an obsidian black package, bespoke mudguards, Arctic Trucks and AT35 'Lava' badging and detailing, anthracite and gray premium carpet mats, a 30th anniversary decal, plus the Arctic Trucks locking wheel nuts and torque wrench.

If you want even more, there are some options: a complete Arctic Trucks leather interior, a tailgate-mounted Arctic Trucks spare wheel with a cover featuring the Arctic Trucks 'Explore Without Limits' logo, rear recovery points in matching AT 'Lava' shade, plus a roof-mounted, high-output aerodynamic LED light bar (Lazer Lamps Linear-42 Elite). The good news is that all 2020+ Defender 110 models (irrespective of grade and transmission) are compatible with the AT35 conversion package – but you'll have to pay £29,995 plus VAT, which isn't cheap by any means.
