Kia have just released a few official studio shots of the new K3 - still no interior shots, though. These high quality photos really accentuate the car’s rather striking lines, details and creases. We really like how the LED strips in the headlights meld themselves into the grille with an almost seamless line.
From the side, at least at the back, it the bodywork makes the rear wheels look a bit too small. However, this car’s main selling point will undoubtedly be its interior space and practicality, so a sweeping roofline would have compromised that aspect - another car which has this ‘problem’ (if it can be called that) is the current generation Ford Mondeo.
Ford is also the automaker which seems to have inspired the K3’s rear end design, as the car clearly owes a lot to the current Focus sedan. However, if the car is priced accordingly, it will sell very well in Korea (launching in October), as well as Europe and the US early next year, where it may end up being called the Cerato or Forte.
