Karma Automotive throws another dime in the jukebox of hypercars and brings the Kaveya. It is the over 1,000-horsepower model that the brand is counting on for revival. Two more will follow.
The carmaker is planning to launch not one, but three electric hypercars, spearheaded by the Kaveya. The model, a super GT with butterfly doors, comes with 1,180 horsepower (1,196 PS) and 1,270 lb-ft (1,722 Nm) of torque for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in under 3.0 seconds. Top speed should be somewhere around 180 mph (290 kph).

A battery pack with a capacity of 120 kWh provides it with a not-so-impressive range these days: 250 miles (402 kilometers). The battery will have the capacity to charge from 0 to 80 per cent in 45 minutes. Not so impressive, either.

The carmaker claims that the vehicle features an aluminum space frame and carbon fiber body panels. Despite the lightweight materials, it still tips the scales at 5,300 pounds (2,404 kilograms), which does not exactly make sense. Customers will be able to choose one of the two trim levels available in the lineup. The top of the line will get all-wheel drive.

Customers won’t be able to order an all-wheel drive variant before the end of 2026. Those who settle for the entry-level version with rear-wheel drive can get it as soon as early 2025. This one also comes with less than half the output of the all-wheel drive Kaveya, which is 536 horsepower (543 PS). Not quite a hypercar with this setup.

The Kaveya is only the first of the trio that Karma wants to roll out. The next ones are getting names just as exotic: the Revero and the Gyesera.

The Revero will be a rebranded hybrid electric GT originally launched as the Fisker Karma, a model that customers have not forgotten and, according to the carmaker, have been asking for a revival.

The battery will store enough energy for an electric drive of up to 80 miles (129 kilometers). The model will arrive sometime in the third quarter of 2024. Celebrities like actor Leonardo DiCaprio and former pro football player Vernon Davis owned a Fisker Karma.

The Gyesera will come in the shape of a full-electric rear-wheel drive saloon. 590 horsepower (598 PS) and 693 lb-ft of torque (940 Nm), a top speed of over 135 mph (217 kph), and an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds is what we know about the upcoming model. The Gyesera will arrive toward the end of 2024.

Karma revealed the upcoming lineup at the Wynn Concours in Las Vegas. President Marques McCammon, who joined the team back in March, was tasked with remaking the company and says that the team has an aggressive plan, debuting products and concepts every six months.
