Grammy-winning Latin Rock musician Juanes will star in a brand new commercial for the 2014 Ram 1500 pickup truck, the Chrysler-owned brand announced today.
The new TV spot, which will feature the artist’s new hit single “La Luz”, is the final installment of the ad series promoting the light-duty truck. The 30-second Spanish-language spot will run on the Univision and Telemundo networks in the US.
“The ‘A Todo, con Todo’ campaign with Juanes is engaging and memorable,” said Olivier Francois, chief marketing officer, Chrysler Group LLC. “Effective marketing should tell a story just as this series of commercials does. The ‘La Luz’ ad showcases the shared drive, determination and overall performance of Juanes, his crew and the Ram 1500 truck. They work together to deliver an outstanding performance for music fans and truck owners alike.”
As a brief reminder, the 2014 Ram 1500 starts from $24,200 and comes with a choice of three engines. There’s a Pentastar V6 mill (305 hp / 269 lb-ft), a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 (395 hp / 410 lb-ft) and an all-new 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel units (240 hp / 420 lb-ft).
