This virtual artist, better known as Theottle on social media, has recently resorted to CGI slicing and dicing the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept to unofficially transform it into a veritable EV pickup truck contender to zero emissions off-road glory.
When Jeep does something, you can bet that a lot of people look and listen – especially at home. In fact, the Jeep has been selected as the most patriotic brand in America for the 23rd year in a row, with Ford and Levi Strauss rounding up the podium this year. Naturally, it knows how to celebrate and entice even further.
The latest idea was a simple one – they took the Jeep Wagoneer S First Edition and made it a poster EV by wrapping it around the Stellantis North America headquarters. Of course, it's not the real EV – just a canvas – but Jeep put it on the façade of its tower on the campus, fully expecting to impress potential customers.
Well, until the model arrives across nationwide dealerships, it still has time to impress other categories – including the rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. For example, Theottle decided that when Jeep revealed the all-new, first-ever Wagoneer S all-electric crossover SUV, he was mostly impressed by the conceptual Wagoneer S Trailhawk.
Thus, it didn't take long before the pixel master decided it would also look good as an EV pickup truck – so he decided to unofficially make that vision true, at least in CGI. However, this CGI expert has mixed up priorities a little bit – he clearly states this Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk EV pickup truck would be an electric unibody affair (of the mid-size variety) but then claims it could rival the likes of Chevrolet's Silverado EV.
By the way, even the pickup truck template used for the transformation is the Ram Rampage, which is considered a compact unibody pickup truck alongside the likes of Ford's Maverick or Hyundai's Santa Cruz, so there's no way for a Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk EV pickup truck to rival in the real world a full-size EV model like the Silverado EV, Sierra EV, GMC Hummer EV, Ford F-150 Lightning, or Tesla Cybertruck.
Instead, the proposal could go hand in hand with the jeep Gladiator as a more stylish counterpart looking to steal customers from the best-selling Toyota Tacoma hybrid, the Ford Ranger Raptor, or Chevrolet's Colorado and GMC's Canyon. It would be interesting to see how it fared, especially since the real full-size electric luxury SUV based on the STLA Large platform is capable of churning out up to 600 horsepower. So, would you buy the Jeep Wagoneer S? Also, would you bring a Wagoneer S Trailhawk home if it was also offered as a pickup truck derivative?
