In some of his post-Game of Thrones interviews, Jason Momoa would often say he was fearful the Khal Drogo role would end up typecasting him. But if there’s something that defines him more than anything, it’s his bond with his Harley-Davidson machines.
Momoa is an avid rider and he loves Harleys the best – and choppers the most, preferably those in whose build he has a role to play. He’s often seen in and around Los Angeles on his favorite bikes, all of which have in common a very Mad Max-like look to them, in the company of his fellow riders and friends, just enjoying life.
On social media, he often shares snippets of his life, whether he’s advocating for the protection of the environment or showing how he and his two children build a Harley from scratch, from an engine he found when he was younger. As of late, he’s using the same platform to urge his fans to be responsible in these difficult times.
In the process, he’s proving that social distancing is best on a Hog, with his 1947 Harley chopper, as identified by TMZ. Sure, the rest of the world has apparently come to the conclusion that two-wheel rides are ideal in today’s context and need for social distancing, but really, no one does it quite like Momoa.
Available at the bottom of the page are a couple of videos the actor posted after a recent ride with friends in Los Angeles County, in Agoura Hills. Among other things, he urges people to buy local and support small businesses, and more importantly, to stay safe by wearing a mask and keeping the recommended distance. As said above, a Harley is just perfect for social distancing.
And because Momoa is all about the H-D lifestyle, he also posted an inspirational Harley-Davidson movie he voiced himself called United We Ride, shot on Wildwood Beach. “I miss my friends, I can’t wait to ride with you again,” he says in the caption. “Mad respect to our riders, I’m so thankful for your friendship and Harley-Davidson for making the greatest motorcycle ever. You give me freedom, we make the wind.”
