Unveiled for worldwide markets earlier this month, the Jaguar F-Pace 90th Anniversary Edition has now arrived in Australia, where the brand's local arm has announced its pricing and specifications.
The model, which celebrates the brand's 90th birthday, builds on the R-Dynamic SE trim level. It comes with 21-inch glossy black alloys and features R-Dynamic styling cues on the outside, subtle badging, and a generous range of equipment inside.
Here, Jaguar mentions the sliding panoramic roof, head-up display, sports seats with contrast stitching, aluminum trim, and ebony headliner. The Jaguar F-Pace 90th Anniversary Edition also has rear privacy windows, a 3D surround camera system, adaptive dynamics, configurable dynamics, and glossy black roof rails, among others.
Interested parties can choose between two powertrain options. The base model comes with the P250 Ingenium engine. This gasoline-fed four-banger is expected to kick off deliveries from September. Joining it is the P400e, a plug-in hybrid assembly that is available Down Under in a premiere.
Picking up the partially electrified offering means enjoying a combined output of 398 hp (404 ps/297 kW) and 472 pound-foot (640 Nm) of torque. The British car manufacturer says this model needs 5.3s to 62 mph (100 kph). It uses a 19.2 kWh battery pack that enables a range of 43 miles (69 km) on the old NEDC cycle. Charging it from 0 to 80 percent takes just 30 minutes.
If you're concerned about the fuel consumption of this agile crossover, then you should know that with the P400e powertrain, the Jaguar F-Pace 90thAnniversary Edition returns the equivalent of 106.9 US mpg (2.2 l/100 km) and emits 51 g/km of CO2. These numbers are also based on the enthusiastic NEDC cycle, just like the model's aforementioned range in the zero-emission mode.
What about the pricing, you ask? If the Jaguar F-Pace 90th Anniversary Edition is on your shopping list, then you must pay a minimum of AU$91,915 for the base model that uses the P250 four-pot. This equals to US$61,205 at the current exchange rates. The plug-in hybrid derivative, which packs the P400e assembly, kicks off at AU$115,882, equaling US$77,165, according to the auto marque's local arm.
Jaguar hasn't mentioned anything about the SVR 575 Edition version of the F-Pace in Australia, which is also part of the series' swansong in worldwide markets. This model uses the brand's supercharged V8, with a 5.0L displacement, making 567 hp (575 ps/423 kW) and 516 pound-feet (700 Nm) of torque. This represents a 25 hp (25 ps/18 kW) boost over the regular model. This variant needs an impressive 3.8s to hit 60 mph (97 kph).
The regular R-Dynamic S starts at $57,000 (equal to AU$85,583) in the United States, and the top-of-the-line SVR 575 Edition kicks off at $92,400 (AU$138,734).
