As the British marque still considers whether to bring the C-X75 concept into production or not, the vehicle manages to be well received by the general public. More recently the C-X75 has also impressed the panel of judges from the worlds of design, fashion and luxury, and got the 2010 Louis Vuitton Classic Concept Award.

"Ian Callum, Jaguar's design director, and his team have achieved not only a beautiful design in clothing a world-premiere and mouth-watering technology, but also a true Jaguar, projecting the brand's DNA into the future without an ounce of nostalgia," said automotive consultant and inaugurator of the prize, Christian Philippsen, who also led the panel.

Other panel members included author Serge Bellu, Louis Vuitton's Director of Innovation Xavier Dixsaut, McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray, former Porsche design head Harm Lagaaij and journalist Masafumi Suzuki.

The C-X75 is an electric supercar built to celebrate 75 years of the Jaguar brand and was praised by the panel for the way in which “it showcased the technology of the future with a beautiful design without looking to the past.”

First introduced at last year’s edition of the Paris Auto Show, the Jaguar C-X75 uses a new propulsion system that relies on four wheel-motors with two micro gas turbine engines. If Jaguar decides to produce the car, this won’t happen sooner than 2015-2017.

"It's fantastic for us to be recognised by the world of fashion with this award,"
said Ian Callum, Design Director for Jaguar. "We're at our best when we’re breaking the mould – making our cars stand out for all the right reasons. C-X75 is only a concept supercar, but it's a clear statement of Jaguar's intent to continue creating bold, innovative and beautiful performance cars."
