This year’s edition of the Paris Auto Show saw Jaguar introducing the C-X75 concept, a machine that instantly captured the public’s attention.
The vehicle offers one of the best possible bouquets of assets, as it comes with cutting edge technology packed in a stunning body. As we’ve told you before, the British automotive producer is considering bringing the vehicle into production. Jaguar hasn’t taken a decision yet, as the evaluation process is complex.
According to autocar, Ian Callum, Jaguar’s head of design needs to include a supercar in its range in order to keep its spirit alive. The designer said that it is too early to see if the car could enter production.
"Our job as designers is to destabilise things,” Callum said, “and to dream of exciting cars the company is not making now. I happen to think Jaguar needs a car like this. Everything about it is new yet it recalls one of our greatest designs of all time, the XJ13.”
Fortunately, the same opinion is shared by Jaguar Land Rover CEO Carl-Peter Forster. The executive told the aforementioned source that the carmaker has received a high level of positive feedback.
“We would love to do it, but it will take up a lot of resources. We have not come to a conclusion yet,” the CEO said.
The business case for the C-X75 could be a strong one, as the supercar segment has been following an ascending trend over the last few years.
