We don’t usually feature rock video, but we’ll make an exception this time, since Jack White’s latest video called “Freedom At 21” brings one of our favorite rides from across the ages. We’re talking about a 1970 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda, which in the music video is accompanied by a sassy police officer.
Obviously, adding “HEMI” to the end of any car instantly makes it much cooler. But this Barracuda is even more so thanks to a cool lime green paintjob. Let’s hope that SRT manages to deliver on their promise to make a brand new Cuda, otherwise millions of fans will be disappointed.
This muscle car from the 70s is pure overkill, powered by a 425 horsepower 426 HEMI engine with dual quad carburetors, Shaker hoods, and stout Pistol Grip 4-speed transmissions. One of these bad boys in mint condition can fetch up to $100,000 at auction, even more so if it’s a famous example.
The video was directed by Hype Williams, while the single is from Jack White 's debut Album BLUNDERBUSS.
