It's Official: Monster Sponsors Both Yamaha MotoGP Bikes

Here's the confirmation of what Spanish site Motocuatro discovered after delving a bit deeper into the Yamaha-Monster-Rockstar MotoGP story: Lorenzo was bought out from his contract with Rockstar and both him and his teammate Valentino Rossi will wear the green "M" for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
So we're going to see Lorenzo and Rossi wearing green-trimmed leathers for the next two seasons, as well as green scars on the new YZR-M1 bikes. The Yamaha Tech3 deal with Monster Energy Company since 4 years ago remains unaffected by the Factory deal.

No details have been given as of Lorenzo's personal deal with Monster or what will happen if one of the two riders decides to part with the Yamaha team before the 2-season contract expires. However, as keen as we saw both Yamaha and the riders to make it big in the 2013 MotoGP, we believe there's more focus on winning as much as possible this season than caring about the color of their leathers.

So we might say that in Lorenzo's case, the Monster scared away the Rockstar, isn't that right?
