The rumor that has been circulating the internet for the past week or so has finally been confirmed to be true. Today it has been announced by Formula 1 officials that the 2013 Grand Prix will also be hosted in New Jersey.

"I'm pleased that New Jersey will play host to Formula One beginning 2013, bringing one of the world's most popular and exciting sports right to our backyard,"
said New Jersey, governor Chris Christie."Up to 100,000 people are expected to attend each race, starting with practice Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and racing on Sunday."

Not a lot of other details are know at the moment, nor has it been announced who will pay the huge fees that come with F1 events. However, by 2013, there will be two races on US soil, as the state of Texas will also host a Grand Prix in Austin starting November 2012.
