Widely regarded as a potential luxury off-roader SUV of dreams, the 2024 Lexus GX is available in America from $64,250 in no less than six trims – but some tiny improvements are still possible.
If you ask around, some people might even say the 2024 Lexus GX 550 is not just a fine premium SUV, but it might even 'kick the a$$' of its rivals with help from the Land Cruiser backbones, the powerful twin-turbo 349-hp V6 engine, and the excellent supporting technology.
For example, the company fitted the new GX with a trick suspension system that not only works wonders on the Moab trails but also at malls – yep, this is a luxurious mall crawler that can also tackle the Rubicon trail if you need it.
Basically, what Lexus and Toyota did was to have the old spirit of the Land Cruiser dressed ritzy for a new world – complete with an aggressive V6 and a 14-inch central touchscreen to modernize the old GX formula but still letting it be a comfier 'brute.' As such, it is no wonder that the Japanese company started playing with customization options – the lifted creation made in partnership with JAOS is a dream overlander. At the same time, the Monogram GX lets you bake pizzas in the trunk and drink heavily in the back seat after the company teamed up with luxury appliance brand Monogram to give the premium SUV an oven and a bar.
These ideas are pretty impressive – and also quite expensive, adding to the tally that spans between an MSRP of $64,250 for the base GX 550 Premium trim and $81,250 for the GX 550 Luxury+ grade, with the Overtrail and Overtrail+ neatly tucked in between. So, what could you do on the 'cheap' to make sure the 2024 Lexus GX 550 stands out in any crowd. Why, of course, a set of new wheels from the aftermarket realm might easily do the trick.
As such, here's a proposal - Esteem Custom Garage, located in Doral, Florida, has decided to show us this build from a couple of angles in front of their facility - and it looks great with the $500 Eminent White Pearl, black plastic body cladding, steps, a roof rack, some skid plates dressed in silver, and especially a set of black Vossen HFX wheels shod in meaty all-terrain tires. So, what do you think?
