Have you ever thought about mixing your iPhone/iPod with an engine? What? Of course that would make sense, just let us show you the IXOOST and you’ll understand. We are talking about a line of iPhone docks that use exhaust headers, as well as high-end speakers to deliver an experience that promises to literally sing to your heart.
You can choose between 4, 6, 8, 10 or even 12 cylinders, with each one of them being a speaker. The systems are tailor-made in Modena, Italy and their name comes from a mispronounced word: this is how their Italian designer pronounced “exhaust”. However, the IXHOOST website doesn’t mention the pricing for the docks, so we expect this to be a painful one.
Here’s what the company had to say about its goodies: “Xoost is a pleasure machine, coupling fine mechanical workmanship with the high-tuned nerves of a throbbing Formula One tailpipe. Noise, symphony or melody: it’s our senses that must guide us through these things. Behind every iXoost there lies all the magic of the ‘sound’ of our own emotions, our memories in the ears and into the very soul of each and every one of us, like those playing cards clipped onto our bike-wheel spokes to produce our very first rumble of speed.”
