Infiniti has already opened the order books for this, the FX SUV customized in the name of one Sebastian Vettel in order to celebrate the German F1 driver’s championship titles. Now, the Japanese luxury maker has stuck a price on the car and it’s a scary one at that - no less than €120,000 for an SUV that really can’t walk the walk.
A total of 50 cars are coming to Europe, and the UK market will likely get an allocation under 10 units, all costing GBP100,000.
What are we talking about? Well, it’s only got a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 420 hp. It’ll do 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and achieves a max speed of 300 km/h (186 mph), but somehow all that is meaningless when you have to pay as much as you would for a well equipped BMW X6 M.
Still, the FX now comes with a 5 percent lower drag coefficient and is 101 lbs (44 kg) lighter, thanks to the use of carbon fiber components ans new 21-inch alloy rims that come with a black finish. Thus, the car tips the scales at 4,517 lbs (2, 049 kg).
