If you’re trying to sell a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 at auction, may I suggest looking at a few websites that specialize in used car sales? The reason why you’d want to do that is simple. There are currently hundreds of new Z06 Vettes on the used market. There’s no shortage of supply.
It’s no wonder that people are beginning to scoff at paying over MSRP for a car that will likely never really help you turn a significant profit in the future. The modern-day Z06 is by no means a collectible. Maybe you can make an argument in favor of the 70th Anniversary Edition model, but certainly not an “everyday spec” like this one here.

This is a 2024 model year Coupe 2LZ variant, and it’s wearing Torch Red in contrast with its carbon-fiber ground effects. It also comes with a removable roof panel, LED headlights, a backup camera, side air intakes, rear parking sensors, and a set of black-finished 20” and 21” alloy wheels with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and red-painted calipers.

The owner of this vehicle, a man out of Westport Addition, Indiana (I guess that’s a real place), refused an offer of $120,000 recently, which is quite interesting seeing as how the car cost $130,225 just 2,100 miles ago. But hey, maybe all the bidders were Knicks fans and made a conscious effort not to pay MSRP due to their team's struggle against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

As fate would have it, the Pacers absolutely dismantled the Knicks during Sunday’s decisive Game 7, advancing to the Conference finals where they’ll take on the Boston Celtics.

Alright, well that took a turn. Let’s get back on track and talk more about this car – kicking off with what’s special about the interior.

It’s got Jet Black leather GT1 bucket seats (also heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable), contrast stitching everywhere, keyless entry, a Performance Data Recorder, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, a head-up display, heated and leather-trimmed steering wheel, plus loads of active safety tech such as Lane-Keep Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Side Blind-Zone Alert and Forward Collision Alert.

Also included in the sale is a fun little Corvette C8.R livery car cover, which should put a smile on the next owner’s face.

As for performance, power comes from a mid-mounted 5.5-liter flat-plane LT6 V8 unit, factory rated at 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, with everything going to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

So, what would have been a fair price? Well, we’re looking at a $10,000 gap between MSRP and the highest bid. Personally, I think $120k is fair, because this wouldn’t have been the first C8 Z06 to sell for less than MSRP in recent times.
