Yesterday we told you that Indian Motorcycle has confirmed the introduction of another model, namely the Chief Dark Horse. Initially spotted in CARB papers, the Dark Horse is the remake of the homonymous bike which was manufactured between 2010 and 2013, when Indian’s operations turned on the new path. Indian revealed that the Chief Dark Horse will be unveiled in a special event held in Chicago on February 1, but yesterday, there was no news as to how long will the rest of the word have to wait to see the bike.
However, things escalated much faster than we all had anticipated, as Indian Motorcycle has just sent out a press release shedding light over this affair. It’s not months, weeks, not even days until the 2016 Chief Dark Horse crosses the Atlantic. As a matter of fact the Dark Horse will be unveiled in London some 12 hours after the American riders lay eyes on it.
No photos of the 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse have made it in the media so far, and the only official one is a close-up detail of the front fender war bonnet. The old Dark Horse was matte black, but the photo Indian sent us shows more of a titanium-colored livery which looks exceptionally promising, too.
More photos and info is expected to arrive via official Indian channels on Friday February 13, so leave your browsers open. Maybe we also get a hint on the Dark Horse’s price then. We’re sort of guesstimating it will slot in the ballpark of the Chief Classic, anyway, maybe a tad less.
MCN London Motorcycle Show will host the Chief Dark Horse
The new Dark Horse will make appearance Saturday, February 14, (watch out for Valentine’s Day gifts). The wraps come off the bike at 11:30 am so you’d better revisit your plans for the weekend. However, the Chief Dark Horse is not the only Indian two-wheeler which will be preset in the London show.
