The aftermarket realm is usually brimming with joy at the sight of any, every, and all Chevrolet Impalas - they easily stand out in any crowd, both the good and bad ones. No worries, we have examples from each category.
The legendary Chevrolet Impala was a full-size car produced by the General Motors subsidiary between 1958 and 1985, from 1994 to 1996, and then also from 2000 to 2020. Of course, everyone mostly remembers the classic run of the initial six generations or the great yet subtle Impala SS of the 1990s. The ones from the 2000s, on the other hand, are mostly 'meh' if you don't mind colloquial expressions.

So, let us focus our attention on the older but golden Chevy Impalas from before the 1980s, as we have a couple of examples that are entirely worthy (for completely different reasons) of our undivided attention. First up comes a 1959 Chevrolet Impala from the second-generation run, which came as a stark departure from the original first-gen model that only lived during the 1958 model year.

It is not original anymore as it has been touched by the aftermarket realm with the custom stick of personalization – but it's a looker, nonetheless, and in the best possible way. The green hue looks awesome on this impeccable example in combination with the 'tons' of shiny chrome fitted to the body and the classic tan leather interior.

To complement and enhance the looks, the owner fitted an air suspension, and the good folks over at Miami, Florida-based Vossen hooked the Chevy Impala with their three-piece ERA-3 alloy wheels dressed in matching chrome and bronze dual-tone attire. It looks stunning, indeed, and it's a bit of a shame the extensive photo shoot didn't include more POVs that also focus on the interior or what's hiding under that long and shiny hood.

Now for the flip side of the coin, the Los Angeles, California-based (outrageous) folks over at Forgiato Designs have done it again and uncovered a Rose Gold 1971 Chevrolet Impala rebuilt after a frame-off restoration by an outlet named Killem All Kustoms as a member of the Hi-riser category. Not everyone will appreciate the build (which seems to include a supercharged V8) due to its exotic touches present all over the place, including inside and around the engine bay, but it's certainly going to touch the heart of donk fans with those matching big-lipped Forgiatos.

So, in the end, if you had to choose just one and take it home for your dream garage, which one would it be? The green Impala lowrider on Vossens or the rosy Chevy on Forgis?
