Of all the crazy opinions we've seen from this guy, the Regular Car Reviews take on the Hyundai Veloster Turbo has to be the most compelling and accurate.
Beyond the funky doors and the strange design, the Veloster Turbo was a car Hyundai specifically designed for the Y-gen buyer. Over the past two years, the company has placed the Veloster in video games, cartoons and tuning shows. It's even got its own zombie survival version. That's pretty much pointless. Why? Young buyers want what all buyers want, a good car, and designed something especially for them is just as ill-fated as making cars only for women.
Also, there's the question of price. For $22,300 plus destination, this car is too expensive. If this is a car for the keen young driver, than Hyundai completely forgot they would consider a second hand BMW first. The Veloster Turbo is also right in the crosshairs of the Focus ST's 2.0-liter cannon of an engine.
