Currently, the S650 seventh generation 2024 Ford Mustang is the last American pony car left standing as production of the sixth generation Chevy Camaro and the L-bodied Dodge Charger, and Challenger ceased in December 2023. But that doesn't mean it can 'boss' everyone around, right?
Starting at $31k, the current Ford Mustang is available with Fastback coupe and Convertible bodies as well as an EcoBoost or 5.0-liter Coyote V8 powertrain plus GT and Dark Horse models. Soon, there will also be a $325k 800-hp Mustang GTD acting as a supercar flagship – but there's no sign of Shelby models, let alone classic Boss 302 or 429 ideas.

No worries; there is always the past to which one can relate. For example, even the imaginative realm of digital car content creators loves the original Ford Mustang – and Czech Republic-based virtual artist Rostislav Prokop, known as rostislav_prokop on social media, continues his thunderous dream ride periplus with a bespoke 'Boss 429.'

It's no wonder that he's fixated on the Ford Mustang subject – between an abundance of Skodas (he's Czech, they're the national carmaker, it's logical, right?), he just keeps coming back to the legendary nameplate – whether it's for an SN95 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R fitted with no hood and a slammed widebody attitude or an equally lowered and aerodynamically-wide take on the current S650 iteration.

Now, though, he's found a passion for the original 1969 Boss 429 Ford Mustang high-performance variant – but it's no longer a two-door muscle coupe. Instead, his vision dwelling around imagination land has turned into a sharply cool Shooting Brake. It's also a restomod because the car now has an appropriate widebody aerodynamic kit, fresh vintage alloy wheels, a redesigned front bumper stolen from the S650, as well as loads of elements draped in visible forged carbon fiber.

In the video embedded below, it seems to enjoy a scenic coastal road trip, and it just stopped for some 3D beauty shots – the author even emphasizes this is a complete 3D model that AI hasn't touched, something that is turning into a rare occurrence these days, it seems. Anyway, would you buy or build such a 1969 Boss 429 Ford Mustang Shooting Brake if given the chance?

If you're not convinced, one last thing that may persuade you is that this design project is supposedly a complete rebuild, as the pixel master also mentions that the forged carbon fiber rear diffuser remains attached to the tubular frame! So, what do you think about it now? If there's no way to persuade you, then let's remember the S650 has plenty of aftermarket things to offer – from Hennessey to Super Snakes, and probably that's just the beginning!
