Some older Toyota and Lexus model suffer from dashboard cracks due to extreme heat or cold. The dashboard material contracts or expands depending on the temperature, but with age, the material’s elastic properties fade and cracks appear.
The simplest and cheapest option to stop a crack from spreading doesn’t involve expensive materials or substances, just a pin needle, a pair of pliers or something else to grab the pin without touching it with the hand and a lighter.
To stop a dashboard crack to spread, hold the pin needle with the pliers and heat the actual pin with the lighter. With the heated pin, make a hole at each end of the crack. Yes, it will look ugly, but at least the crack won’t spread. get creative and make a pattern or so if it looks too ugly.
Of course, if you can also use a fine drill to make holes if you don’t like the needle method.
