Even when it comes to go-fast vehicles, carmakers sometimes tend to exaggerate things, but SRT’s latest commercial is far from this. Dubbed “Driven”, the ad offers us a short, yet juicy trip though SRT’s lineup.
SRT brags that their cars convince the driver to take the longer route to the destination. Well, we have to agree with them on this. It’s enough to think about those killer gearshifts in the Viper and the feeling you get when you’re able to keep the power flowing almost all the way through the shift.
Or perhaps the nice balancing act put on by the Challenger SRT8, which manages to be fully comfortable while delivering all the muscle you could wish for.
Who knows? Maybe it’s the Grand Cherokee SRT8 that floats your boat. We wouldn’t argue. Not when this SUV knows how to deliver kicks usually found in the sports car world. Its massive feel, coupled with that V8 sound, are more than enough to please.
Of course, SRT’s offerings are far from perfect. The Viper is still not practical enough, while the Challenger needs that facelift. Badly. And yet, SRT are right about the long way home.
