The arrival of Season 4 of The Crew Motorfest began with a new car culture theme, "Donk vs Lowrider." As you can imagine, some of the new vehicles have a new gameplay feature: bounce. Ivory Tower, the developer, overhauled the suspension system to include these new customization options, and it looks right on the money.
First, there are the cars that went under the hammer, like the Buick GNX El Sereno Lowrider Edicion, Buick GNX West side Lowrider Edicion, Chevrolet Impala LowRider Naranja Edicion, Chevrolet Impala LowRider Red Duchess Ed., and, of course, the famous Plymouth Road Runner La Verde Edition.

Depending on your platform of choice, you need to learn the new inputs to activate the new bouncy features.

Make sure your car is fully stopped, then press "O" on PlayStation, "B" on Xbox, or "X" on PC to turn on the "STATIC" mode. On consoles, you can start adjusting the suspension using the left joystick. On PC, press "SHIFT," "D, "CTRL," and "A."

To enter "DYNAMIC" mode, simply repeat the first steps from "STATIC" mode. Then use the left joystick again or "WASD" on PC. Lastly, to engage the "NORMAL" mode, press the "O" on PS, "B" on Xbox, or "X" on PC.

However, there is one small catch. You cannot drive with these new modes turned on at speeds over 62 mph or 100 kilometers per hour.

As for the Donk side of things, the new customizable vehicles with wheelie mods are the HOONIGAN Chevrolet Caprice Donk and Chevrolet Caprice Weasel D. Customs Donk edition. To activate the mod, stop the car completely, then press "R2" on the PlayStation controller or "RT" on the Xbox controller while pulling the left joystick toward you. On PC, press "Z" and "CTRL."

That's basically the gist, nothing to it. When you get the hang of it, all that's left is to choose your path in the new "DONK VS LOWRIDER" playlist. You will side with one or the other, each path offering exclusive vehicle rewards. Make sure to check out the newly introduced Dancing Car and Street Versus game modes.

If you never tried The Crew Motorfest before, you're in luck. There's an ongoing free trial with no game time limit. After the free period expires, you can buy the game's versions for up to 60% off. However, there is a small catch. It's not on Steam, but you can play the 5-hour demo there. The dates are:

  • PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4: July 4-8
  • Ubisoft Store (PC): July 4-8
  • Epic Games Store (PC): July 4-8
  • Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One: July 11-15

Also, remember the $18 monthly Ubisoft+ membership, which is available exclusively on the Xbox ecosystem and PC through Ubisoft Connect. Members get many enticing perks, like early access to Ubi's latest entries. Sometimes, it even includes premium editions, which means access to DLC.

The upcoming Star Wars Outlaws (August 30) and Assassin's Creed Shadows (November 15) Ubi titles are included. The fortunate part is that the subscription is on offer through July 11. One year costs $135, discounted from $45 from the regular $180.
