If you’re going for the low budget intervention and do it yourself, here are some quick tips on how to do it, while the video bellow will give you the full details. Needless to say, you’ll need to have a complete tool set and the aftermarket handbrake kit
- Unmount the stock handbrake and lower central console to make room for the new one
- Mount the handbrake unit in the chosen location
- Open the hood and locate the brake lines going out of the brake pump
- Connect the first brake line to the pump and the handbrake
- Connect the second line to the pump and the rear axle brakes.
