Unveiled recently at the Auto Expo in Delhi, India, Honda's CX-01 concept caused quite a stir.
While some expect that the production bike be an expansion of the CB500 family and bring a dash of supermoto character to Honda's line-up, other rumor have this bike as a study for an possible new version of the naked CB1000R machine.
In its current shape, the CX-01 does not have enough room to accommodate the liter-class engine, but in case this concept is only showing the new direction Honda's naked bikes might follow, things become credible.
Now, the CB1000R already looks ultra aggressive, but the even edgier lines of the CX-01 might be a welcome styling upgrade, by all means.
To be honest, seeing Honda bringing forth a new range of redesigned naked machines ranging from the small-to-medium displacement to the big-bore ones would be awesome. And we can definitely expect new things at the EICMA later this year.
