When Honda Canada added up the number at the end of last year, they found that with sales of 64,962 units in 2012, the Honda Civic outsold its closest competitor by 14,012 units to retain its position as Canada's best-selling passenger car for the 15th consecutive year.
This a remarkable achievement, and it's only going to get better, since the fresh-looking 2013 Civic came out at the Toronto Auto Show.
During these 15 years, more than 1.7 million Civics were sold in Canada. The car has also been produced for the last 40 years at the Canadians at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario.
"Fifteen years represents something very special to us," said Jerry Chenkin, executive vice president of Honda Canada Inc. "We truly value the trust that our customers put in us when they buy a Civic, or any Honda product. Buying a car is a big decision and we’re thankful for the opportunity to be part of the lives of so many Canadians every year.”
