Japanese manufacturer Honda is preparing its winter offering for the Indian market, with the first model to receive a special edition being the City. Dubbed Exclusive and previewed since October, the special edition will be bringing several exterior and interior upgrades, but no engines modifications.
First of all, the model will be offered on the local market in several new colors, including Urban Titanium, a brand new color developed for the model. The existing palette, comprised of Taffeta White, Alabaster Silver, Crystal Black Pearl, Bold Beige Metallic and Habanero Red, will continue to be offered.
Aside for the new color, the exterior of the City will get a few more fine touches for the Exclusive edition. The model will now be offered with a chrome trunk garnish, chrome door sash molding, body colored mud flaps and an Exclusive rear badge.
At the interior, the changes will be a bit more quality oriented, with leather seats and leather steering wheel being offered for both the manual and automatic transmission versions.
“Honda City is one of the most successful and desirable brands in the country. The ‘Exclusive’ variant is aimed at further delighting our customers with exclusive luxurious features during this festival period,” Tatsuya Natsume, Honda Siel Cars India was quoted as saying by Business Standard.
On the Indian market, the Honda City is offered with a 1.5l i-VTEC engine and is available in E MT, S MT and V MT versions (equipped with manual transmission) and V AT (equipped with automatic transmission).
