Honda Factory Team and Repsol are celebrating 20 years of MotoGP racing partnership, together with past and current riders, fans and enthusiasts, in a flamboyant event in the Spanish capital Madrid.
The story goes back in 1995 when Mick Doohan became premier class world champion for the second time. His success started a wonderful legacy which brought team Repsol Honda 10 world titles, 124 individual race wins and 338 podium finishes.
Honda brought no less than 6 winning bikes to the Madrid Campus Repsol, and many VIP's in the MotoGP world also attended the ceremony, Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta and riders Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez included.
All these years, Repsol Honda has had 6 premier class winners:
- Mick Doohan 1995-98
- Alex Criville 1999
- Valentino Rossi 2001-03
- Nicky Hayden 2006
- Casey Stoner 2011
- Marc Marquez 2013
