As I mentioned earlier today, Lamborghini’s future could include just about anything, as long as the result has the right attitude. Getting back on the matter with an example, here’s a Lamborghini SUV towing another Lamborghini.
Sure, this is just a rendering, but once the Italians build their SUV in 2017, you won’t need to turn to a computer in order to see such things (by the way, the image comes from Rob Evans Design). This looks a bit like the Lamborghini Estoque, the brand’s four-door coupe concept that never made it into production, albeit in a version which has received the SUV treatment. As for the second Lamborghini on the trailer behing the SUV, that is a Huracan that appears to be gifted with a Liberty Walk kit. More on this aftermarket topic, which isn't real yet, here.
And while the crossoverish creature may look than a little wild, the production version won’t be too tame either. After all, people won’t go out there and buy a Lamborghini SUV for its... towing capacity.
The sheer thought of going into a Lamborghini dealership and asking the sales person about this is amusing. If you’re not convinced, try to think about Lamborghini’s first SUV, the LM002 of the 80s.
Sure, I remember seeing a photo of a LM002 towing a trailer with a Countach on it, basically a potential inspiration for the rendering above, but that’s one of the very few instances when the car was actually portrayed as a blue collar machine.
Nonetheless, with the social media frenzy that has taken over the world, we expect many to seek attention by towing things with their Lambo. For one thing, if you’re feeling confident about your driving skills, using the Raging Bull’s SUV to bring your track machine to an event is probably the best way to make sure all eyes are on you. Heck, you can even get an underpowered Caterham and race it against the Raging Bull...
