This 2015 Dodge Ram no longer look like a 2015 Dodge Ram. This 2015 Dodge Ram no longer looks salvageable either. Despite all these, someone is actually willing to rebuild it.
Ben has done it before, he is far from being a rookie in the field. A while ago, he bought a 2024 Ford Mustang GT for half the price. The muscle car was severely damaged and looked like it would never set wheels on the road again. But last month, he completed the rebuild and the car looks as good as new. He is not selling it for profit but is keeping it for himself.

He is planning to repeat that very successful scenario, and many others like it, with this Dodge Ram. While the Mustang GT was a brand-new car, the pickup truck will be turning ten years old soon. He has had it for a while in the garage yard. But he did not have the necessary parts. He finally got to buy a donor truck and believes the time has come for the Ram to hit the road again.

The vehicle is fully equipped and has a lift kit. A receipt that he found on board after the purchase showed that the previous owner paid $1,800 only for the aftermarket wheels, which is around 30% of what he paid for the whole vehicle: $4,500. Despite the serious front-end damage and all the deformation that the collision brought to that area, no airbag was deployed, which is strange.

There are many question marks about the sort of accident that the pickup truck was involved in. Even though it was a crash that smashed the front end, the hood looks intact. The latch must have somehow been hit and the hood popped up, saving itself from severe deformation.

There is a reason Ben really wanted to have this vehicle. A cabin wrapped in black leather, wood trim, and navigation trim, all of them in impeccable condition, are on the menu.

The donor truck is three years younger than the Ram that Ben will rebuild. He bought it for $4,000, and there are so many parts that he can either use on the 2018 vehicle or sell. The airbags were deployed on this one, but it's got a nice sports interior that can be swapped in an older vehicle for a very interesting upgrade.

The engine is in good shape and has only 49,000 miles since delivery. With everything he will sell, he will easily cover the cost of the entire truck and still be left with something.

Everything at the front comes off. That is the first stage of the build. When he is done with stripping, he realizes that the frame on the driver's side is completely ripped off. Ben tries to put the frame back into its position by pulling it back with the help of a forklift and a chain.

After hours of stripping, cutting, unbolting, and pulling back into position, Ben starts painting the Dodge Ram and assembling it back like a puzzle. Everything looks brand-new, except for some dents and bends on the fenders.

He is going to buy two of them for around $65 each. He is also going to need a front bumper, because the original one was smashed to pieces by the crash.
