It looks like Harley-Davidson riders in Australia are not as macho as their fellows in the US, therefore they would not take too kind on city rides and sexist commercials. And that's really good, as H-D started making real ads, which are more about riding in the great wide open and less about skimpy hipsters.
Here's a very nifty piece on on of the truly glorious H-D custom color options, the acclaimed Hard Candy paint technique. We here are not such big fans of too much sparkle and similar trims, but we must admit that the Hard Candy Custom bikes have something really unique and almost majestic about them.
Though we still believe the Hard Candy option to be more of a ladies' motorcycle treat, we've seen some sparkly bikes which looked truly noble and elegant, even with a huge, bearded, tattooed guy in the saddle. And this is, by all means, a very nifty thing about any bike out there.
As for the desert ride, now you're talking biking again, Harley, that's so much more like it. Oh, and one more thing on sparkly stuff: you guys can do everything you want, as long as you don't make a Twilight H-D. Please don't do it... pretty please!
