We have featured a rather hideous Hamann Volcano version of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren before, and this is time is almost as ugly as before, with the only better detail being the choice of exterior colors now.
Caught by supercars-spotter and YouTube-user Marchettino somewhere in Italy, the following modified SLR McLaren with Swiss licence plates was merrily strolling around in the boot-shaped European country until it sadly broke down and had to be carried away by a service truck.
We are in now way glad that it succumbed to an unknown technical problem but we are actually having a giggle about the car not scaring anymore children on those Italian roads.
The only good thing we found in the Hamann Volcano version of the SLR McLaren was the engine, which delivers no less than 700 hp and 830 Nm (612 lb ft) of torque thanks to the Hamann tuners. Other than that, we just wished they had left the gorgeous Anglo-German grand tourer alone.
