The world is a wonderful place and meth is a hell of a drug, that seems to make people sign in on Craigslist and do stupid stuff all the time. One of the latest such stunts seems to be an ad for a 1984 323i Pick-up.
No, really, the man is selling a BMW E30 pick-up. So far, so good. We’ve seen such ‘rarities’ before but this one is special. According to the ad, this is one of only 2 cars that were “authorized by BMW to be custom modified to pick-up version”. Flawless english.
The ad goes on to tell us that the engine uses ‘Otto Combustion’, has a Hartge exhaust (let's hope at least that's for real) and the cylinders are “serially arranged” (NO JOKE!). That is absolutely impressive! (too bad you can’t hear the irony in my voice right now).
The rest of the text is filled with all sorts of interesting details like part numbers for around half the car and a list of what the seller might think are optionals, like “Water cooling with pump and thermostat” and “Intake System”. Obviously, this guy knows what he’s talking about.
The poor E30 also has some sort of air-brushed decals painted on it that are simply weird (there’s no other way to put it). The asking price is $17,000 and you can check it out here.
