The recent "Bottom Dollar Bounties" update brought a bunch of new amazing cars and action-packed missions, but this time, the focus lies on the update's GTA+ features. Most importantly, not all of them will make fans happy, with certain gameplay elements locked tight beyond an intrusive paywall.
Before getting to the root of the problem, GTA+ members should claim their free rewards, including the week-early Överflöd Pipistrello (Super), an assortment of limited-time liveries, clothes, and most importantly, the monthly extra $1,000,000 bonus. The $1 million per month benefits are going away in August, so don't miss out until then.
Now for the kicker! The Vinewood Club in-game phone app will let GTA+ members do the unthinkable: collect their business earnings digitally instead of physically, like never before. To do so, simply access the app on your iFruit, then select "Claim Business Earnings," and go through the properties you own with outstanding cash one by one. You can also purchase ammo and request or buy a car club vehicle.
This much-asked, much-awaited for method is quite the opposite of how "back-in-my-day" players used to collect their illegitimate (or otherwise), slightly hard-earned cash.
In other words, instead of physically scouring the map and driving from place to place to collect, GTA+ members can now do so with a few clicks. While it's great for the subscribers, it leaves the rest with an antiquated and frankly obsolete method of earning currency in a game.
The problem arising from the Vinewood Club App debacle is that while it's not technically "pay-to-win," it's still "pay-for-convenience," which isn't quite right in the gaming realm. Is this Rockstar Games' first and last attempt of this sort, or is it only the beginning? Is it a precursor for GTA VI Online, and when is enough enough? For better or worse, only time will tell.
Other GTA+ benefits this week include the Blue/Pink Flip Chameleon Paint and white Prismatic Pearl Chameleon Wheel Paint, redeemable until July 31. The Vinewood Car Club has a 20% discount on five new car liveries from the recent update: the Übermacht Niobe (Sports) – Race League livery, Annis Euros X32 (Coupe) – Shark Camo livery, Enus Paragon S (Sports) – Tentacle Camo livery, Bollokan Envisage (Sports) – Junk Race livery, and Invetero Coquette D1 (Sports Classic) – Flames livery.
Rockstar Games released the action-packed "Bottom Dollar Bounties" this week with an entirely new slew of vehicles at players' disposal. One of the best is the Bollokan Envisage, a two-door sports car made after the Hyundai N Vision 74. Another is the Benefactor Vorschlaghammer, based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124. A new collection of police vehicles also made its way in the update.
GTA+ costs 8 bucks per month, and it's only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, meaning no PC, unfortunately. Monthly benefits include a $500,000 amount delivered into your Maze Bank account, special access to GTA+ Shark Cards with a 15% bonus GTA$, double, triple, and even quadruple rewards during certain missions, discounts including but not limited to vehicles, properties, upgrades, etc.
You also get a five-floor garage that can fit 100 vehicles, which is fortunate because Rockstar likes to throw in a free car from time to time, like the recent Overflod Pipistrello, based on the real-life 2,012-hp Automobili Estrema Fulminea EV.
Besides the GTA Online in-game bonuses and features, you also get access to other Rockstar-made titles like L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption along with the Undead Nightmare DLC, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, Liberty City Stories, and Chinatown Wars.
