The benefits you get by ditching cables and going wireless in your car are obvious, and Android Auto users know how important it is to no longer depend on a cord. Cables are horrible accessories that sometimes wreak havoc in a car, leading to connection problems and random disconnects that impact too many people.
With Android Auto wireless, all these struggles are gone. Thankfully, you no longer need to get an aftermarket head unit or pay ridiculous prices to unlock Android Auto wireless at the dealership.

Android Auto wireless adapters have become must-have devices for Google users, as they eliminate the cable nightmare and bring more convenience to every car.

This week, two of the best Android Auto wireless adapters in the world sport incredibly low prices, so there's no better time to ditch cables than right now.

Last Friday, AAWireless, the device that started the wireless revolution in the Android Auto world, dropped its price to $63.74 thanks to a 15% discount. AAWireless is one of the most reliable adapters on the market, coming with a free companion app for extra settings. The discount is still available until this upcoming Friday.

Motorola joined the fun a few minutes ago with a major discount for its adapter. The company released a 28% price cut for the MA1, so the adapter can now be yours for $50.74. It's one of the lowest prices ever for the MA1, as the device launched with a $89 price tag and dropped to $69.99 earlier this year. It's unclear how long this discount will last, but the MA1 is in stock and is available with next-day delivery.

Both devices work similarly. They must connect to the car using the dedicated Android Auto port and to your phone using Bluetooth. Their role is to receive the mobile phone signal wirelessly and transmit it to the head unit via the wired connection. Android Auto should start automatically on the screen after you pair the adapter with your mobile phone.

Drivers don't have to disconnect the Android Auto wireless adapter when they arrive at the destination and turn off the engine. If the adapter remains plugged in, the next time they start the engine, it powers on, connects to the mobile phone via Bluetooth, and initiates the Android Auto experience wirelessly. The process is similar to factory-installed Android Auto wireless, albeit it could take a few seconds longer, as the adapter also needs to fire up and load its software.

AAWireless is also working on a second-generation model that is due this year. The new model will offer CarPlay support out of the box, allowing Apple users to convert a wired connection into wireless and ditch cables in the car when running CarPlay.
