Gold digger pranks are shallow, overrated and usually fake. I mean, if you have a cool supercar and a girl who will do anything to get your money, why not do something original like asking her for a wet one? We were expecting a German version of the famous YouTube stunt to be different. And it is, but not in a good way.
The guy behind YouTube channel TheChrisTezzShow looks and acts just like his American counterparts only he talks a different language. This Internet celebrity we've never heard about is just what you'd expect a teen with a Porsche 911 to be like. Somehow, he also got hold of the all-new Audi R8.
It's worth around €150,000 and is the only Audi worthy of being called a supercar. There's a big V10 engine in the middle and proportions that will make you feel sinful and dirty just by looking at the car. Will German Frauleins dig the four rings? We have no idea because this rich kid decided to prank some unsuspecting men instead. They park the R8 at a Burger King, leave it there and come back in an Astra hatchback. Of course, people don't want to go anywhere with them in the Opel but get really excited when they realize the pranksters own the R8.
What are they going to prove, that men want to ride in a supercar with a V10 engine instead of an Astra? That doesn't make them gold diggers, as sexual favors are never mentioned (thankfully). There's also a short version involving an emo girl with blue hair. At first, she says she has a boyfriend and is borderline violent towards the kid. He eventually backs down and walks nonchalantly towards the R8.
Seeing the indicators flash, the girl runs after him and asks "Dude, is that your car?" With a noticeable change of tone, she asks about how you open the door. When the prank is revealed, and she's called a gold digger, the girl slaps the guy and runs away. Two thinks really strike us. The first is that German girls are so nasty. And the second is that a rental company gave Chris this expensive R8 to use in his videos just for the publicity they get on YouTube.
