Releasing a new modification kit for the 2011 Porsche Cayenne is a pretty difficult task, as the market has been flooded with developments for the German SUV. However, if we are talking about such a move being performed by a tuner like Hamann, it is the competition, not the developer, who should be worried. So, let’s hit Geneva’s floor together and see what this tuned ride has to offer.

The Germans have offered the Cayenne a serious transformation, naming the development “Guardian” and they are not shy to show this to the world. Let’s take the front end for example. This shouts “Lights, Action!” in your face. Let us explain what we mean: The tuner has fitted the vehicle with a custom bumper that accommodates two LED daytime running lights, four fog lights and high-beam LED lights).

The rest of the exterior kit isn’t shy either, as it comes with muscular wheel arches, redesigned side skirts, as well as an out-of-this-world rear apron which houses a centrally-mounted, generously-sized double exhaust.

The tuner offers engine modifications for the Diesel and Turbo incarnations of the SUV. While the oil-burner receives an ECU remap that boosts power to 275 hp, the forced induction petrol V8 gets a sports exhaust system and an ECU remap. The list of tech mods also covers the suspension, which can be lowered and the braking system, with the tuner bringing additional stopping power.

The Hamann aftermarket kit is completed by custom rims, with the tuner offering two types of wheels that come in a 23-inch size and use 315/25 tires.
