Genesis, the premium brand owned by Hyundai, has announced US pricing for its flagship sedan, the G90. It starts at $68,100 in the USA with a 365 HP 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 and rear-wheel drive configuration.
The Genesis brand was designed to provide an all-round premium experience, so its parent company gave it dedicated dealerships, as well as various services to enhance the ownership experience.
Along with these features, which can make a client’s life easier, the flagship G90 also comes with an industry first, the integration of the Amazon Alexa, a virtual assistant.
The integration of the Amazon Alexa feature lets owners connect to the car and send it voice commands, which are operated by Genesis Connected Services. For example, a user can order the Alexa assistant to start the engine and set the climate unit to a particular temperature, all with voice commands.
Genesis Experience, the customer-centric program from the brand, comes with complimentary valet appointments for servicing, as well as three-year free scheduled maintenance.
Genesis also offers three years of SiriusXM Travel Link service, annual map updates, extended roadside assistance, and other concierge services. The free valet and scheduled maintenance are free within 36,000 miles or three years, whichever comes first.
Standard features include smart cruise control with Stop-Start function, nine airbags, electronic parking brake with hold function, forward-view cornering camera and a suite of cameras for multi-view, front and rear parking sensors, high beam assistant, and more.
The safety suite includes a lane-keeping assistant, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
The Genesis G90 is available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive configurations for both engines in its range. The 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 can be had with all-wheel-drive for an MSRP of $70,600.
Meanwhile, the 420 HP 5.0-liter V8 unit with gasoline direct injection starts at $69,700 in rear-wheel-drive form, while its AWD variant costs $72,200. All values above exclude a $950 freight charge.
Genesis does not have trim levels, but counts on a generous standard equipment and a broad range of optional equipment, a strategy similar to its competitors.
