Along with the Insignia facelift, Opel brought the range’s new crossover, the Insignia Country Tourer, to the Frankfurt Motor Show.
In order to sustain its adventure claims, the Opel Insignia Country Tourer comes with an AWD system consisting of a Haldex center differential and an electronic simulation for a a rear limited slip diff. Each of the axles can receive between 0 and 100 percent of the power, while the system also manages the torque distribution between the rear wheels.
In addition, the ground clearance was boosted by 20 mm, so you can be generous with the lack of asphalt when planning your route.
You can choose between three engines, two diesels and a petrol. At the top of the range, we find the 250 HP 2.0 SIDI (Spark Ignition Direct Injection) Turbo gasoline engine. As for the oil burners, these include the 195 HP 2.0 BiTurbo CDTI and the 163 hp, 2.0 CDTI.
