Earlier this year we were showing you an all-motor fox-body Ford Mustang that needed 9.96 seconds to run the quarter mile at 135 miles per hour. While 6.0-liter V8-powered pony was pretty fast, we found a fox-body that's even faster.
In fact, the vehicle you're about to see below is reportedly the fastest stick-shift Mustang after clocking the quarter mile at 8.58 seconds and 165 miles per hour. To get it there, the owner used Ford Racing's Boss 302 crate engine (500 HP) with race cylinder heads, Precision T4 turbo, a McLeod RXT twin disc clutch kit, a FAST XFI engine management system, and a custom methanol injection with 70% gas and 30% C14 race gas.
