Being a NASCAR driver should allow you to feed yourself with all the adrenaline in the world, so why would you want to seek extreme thrills in dangerous areas? We don’t know, but we can tell you that ex-NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfiled did just that, with “drugs” being the word here.
Back in 2009, Mayfiled was suspended indefinitely from NASCAR due to the fact that he was tested positive for methamphetamine not once but twice. Now, he has been arrested for the same reason, as CBS News reports.
It seems that Mayfield was taken into custody at his home in Carawba, after police found meth during a stolen good search. The Catawba County Sheriff might have also found the stolen goods, with the officers confiscating multiple items in order to determine their provenience.
Mayfiled, 42, started racing in 1994, with his trophy cabinet including five wins and a 1997 season with 13 points.
