Ford has announced that it has tripled the number of US dealers which can sell their EVs, hybrids and plug-in hybrids. Now, some 200 dealers can sell Ford’s green offerings, so that more people can have access to them, and test the Blue Oval’s claims that their hybrids are superior to those made by the long-time leader of the sector, Toyota.
However, Ford will not stop here, as they plan to have all 50 states covered by early next year - they plan to sell their Fusion Energi through a reported 900 dealers, including the aforementioned 200. What each dealership needs to be considered ‘worthy’ to sell ‘green’ cars are two or more charging stations, as well as getting their personnel to participate in a specialized training program.
