Ford's all-new EcoSport compact SUV, reportedly to benefice from the most advanced automotive technologies, will make its European debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
According to the Blue Oval company, the new EcoSport will feature advanced Ford SYNC technology, such as voice-activated in-car connectivity, and "a system than enables drivers to voice-control smartphone apps".
"The role of the car is evolving," said Paul Mascarenas, Ford Chief technical officer and vice-president of Research and Innovation. “Customers want to be able to safely enjoy the same level of connectivity in their cars as they would do at home, and SYNC AppLink enables then to do just that. By maximising the potential of apps, Ford can offer customers a class-leading range of smartphone app capabilities while on the move."
Described as an agile, flexible, and spacious combination of family car and SUV, the EcoSport will be powered by Ford's innovative 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, a 1.5-liter petrol powerplant, and a 1.5-liter diesel unit with reportedly class-leading fuel efficiency.
The debut is set to take place on March 5, during a press conference on the Ford stand.
