Ford Motor Co. has announced two new upgraded versions of its successful Mondeo four-door sedan in the United Kingdom, as the fourth-generation vehicle is slated to retire later next year.
Called Mondeo Graphite Edition, the first trim is priced at £15,995 and it’s the Blue Oval’s new entry-level model, being £2,105 cheaper than the previous Mondeo Edge base version. While the price is significantly lower, the Graphite offers several standard features, such as 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lamps, body color bumpers, door handles, mirrors, and rear spoiler.
The second new trim made available to British customers is the Titanium X Business Edition, which is said to offer even higher standard of technology and interior luxury when compared to the Zetec Business Edition for only £21,885. £1,500 cheaper than the Zetec, the Titanium X adds touchscreen satellite navigation, full leather trims and many more.
“This upgrade offers Ford Mondeo customers more features, at a more competitive price, as well as outstanding fuel economy,” said Mark Ovenden, Ford Britain managing director. “This winning formula has always played a key role in Mondeo’s success and these significant range enhancements will grow its popularity among UK families.”
The new Ford Mondeo is due to arrive in fourth quarter 2014.
