Miller Racing has announced it will be returning to the racetrack this year. The Salt Lake City-based specialist will be fielding a pair of Ford Mustang Boss 302R race cars developed in partnership with Multimatic Motorsports.
The No.158 musclecar will be driven by Ian James and Billy Johnson, the latter joining in from Roush Racing, while the No.15 car will be manhandled by Scott Maxwell and Jade Buford. Both vehicles will compete in the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC).
“We were looking for a way to continue Roger’s legacy in racing, and this partnership among Miller Racing, Multimatic Motorsports and Ford Racing is the perfect solution,” said Cheri Miller. “None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Ian James, who has become part of our family, and we sincerely appreciate his efforts. We look forward to this exciting new partnership and to seeing Roger’s No. 158 Boss 302R back on the track and challenging for wins in 2014.”
Miller Racing’s first outing is taking place as we speak at the “Roar Before the 24” three-day test at Daytona International Speedway which lasts until January 5.
