The Fisker Karma is one of our favorite green cars because unlike it’s a status symbol. It might not be as fast as a supercar, it’s not one of those bubble-shaped eco cars. The idea behind this car is something that been used in heavy industry for a while now. The electric motors provide more torque than anything else, and the electricity to power them is generated with fuel.
Now Fisker is getting ready to introduce a new car to the world. Under the Project Nina name, they’ve developed a new car which will debut at the New York Auto Show. People who have gotten a sneak peak tell us it’s a four-door with slick shape.
Now, Carscoop comes to the rescue with even more information about the car, which is supposed to be called the Atlantic. This will also be a plug-in hybrid, but the range extender will this time come in the form of a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine sourced from BMW.
If Fisker manages to secure capital, more cars will be built on the same platform, including a coupe and a crossover.
