The Toyota Winglet is the Japanese automaker’s response to the well known Segway personal mobility device. However, it is a bit different.
Toyota thought that the Segway is too big and is not perfectly suited for urban strolling. So they made a skinnier version with smaller wheels.
It uses the same principle - start it by inserting a plastic card, lean forward, backward or sideways to move in the desired direction. There is also a version without the vertical handle for more courageous people. Toyota is currently benchmarking it and it looks like it had invited others to have a go in it.
The guys from Ubergizmo have tested the little toy recently. They found it easy to use and more maneuverable than a classic Segway.
