'Final' 2026 Hyundai Palisade LX3 Rendering Seeks to Remain Definitive. We Doubt That

The South Korean automaker Hyundai recently graced the 2024 Busan International Mobility Show with the quirky Inster city car (or mini SUV), an all-electric version of the Casper set to launch worldwide in the near future.
It's going to be an interesting fight in Europe, for example, where Dacia sells the recently refreshed Spring all-electric city car – one of the cheapest EVs in the world. But over in America, Hyundai could not care less about crowded cities and their need for cheap EV transportation means – their lineup starts with the larger Venue, which is also one of the most affordable models in the United States ($19,900) and also ICE-powered.

Anyway, customers may not be interested in that one, either, because Hyundai is diligently preparing the LX3 second generation of something cooler – the big Hyundai Palisade mid-size three-row crossover SUV. Twinned with the even more popular Kia Telluride, the mid-size CUV has been around since 2018, and after a facelift for the 2023 model year, Hyundai doesn't want to let it grow long in the tooth beyond the 2025 model year.

As such, the internet has been awash with countless spy shots of the next LX3 iteration, mostly captured at home in South Korea. Thus, the rumor mill is adamant that Hyundai may prepare the official introduction – in a staggered format, as per tradition – this year with the start of sales around the second part of 2025 as a 2026 model year.

But who can have the patience to wait that long? Not the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, of course. For example, the virtual creator NYMammoth loves both NYC and South Korea, which is why many of his virtual creations focus on the American lineup of Kia and Hyundai. In fact, he's been pretty much obsessed with the LX3 Hyundai Palisade, and as far as we can tell from his machine-translated Korean, this is supposedly his final rendering on the matter.

Well, as far as the parallel universes of vehicular CGI are concerned, the syntagma 'when pigs fly' fully applies, and then some more. As such, let's just say that the latest in a long line of digital illustrations of the LX3 Hyundai Palisade for model year 2026 might be the most definitive – to date. Obviously, the next iteration of the mid-size three-row crossover SUV, a great seller in North America, is of great interest to pixel masters, just like the upcoming second refresh or all-new Kia Telluride.

This unofficial rendering features the latest cues observed from spied prototypes, and it's clear that Hyundai wants a more premium appearance for the Palisade successor – but we're not so sure that they will actively emulate the looks of the latest Land Rover Range Rover as seen in this hypothetical CGI when viewing the rear three-quarters POV. The rest of the details are pretty much in line with the opinions of other CGI experts – the boxy new Santa Fe will inspire the next Palisade but will feature a more stylish design appropriate for the flagship of the crossover SUV lineup.
