Stellantis' North American arm has introduced a new special edition of the Fiat 500e. The EV is called 'Inspired by Los Angeles' and follows in the footsteps of the RED Edition, Inspired by Beauty, and Inspired by Music models.
The unique variation of the Fiat 500e features a few special touches inside and out to set it apart from the rest of the range and retains the same setup beneath the skin that we will remind you of in a few moments.

First things first, let's speak about the Marine Layer Mist. The exclusive paint finish has a silver-ish appearance, and its name comes from Southern California's coastal marine layer, which "results from air masses of different temperatures and densities interacting." The natural phenomenon occurs between May and June and "gives the City of Angles a magical and complex feel, much like the Layer Mist paint color," Fiat says in the official press release.

So, what else is new on the Fiat 500e Inspired by Los Angeles? That would be the black daylight opening molding and the matte gray look of the side mirror casings. The car rides on 17-inch machined diamond-cut alloys that can be wrapped in summer or all-season tires.

On the inside, the latest addition to the Fiat 500e family in the United States sports beige eco-leather upholstery, a body-color instrument panel, and a soft-touch steering wheel. The automaker also mentions the JBL premium sound system with an amplifier and subwoofer. The audio features four Virtual Venues that were picked by Italian Maestro Andrea Bocelli, which change the cockpit's acoustic characteristics depending on the chosen location.

Fiat's 500e Inspired by Los Angeles Edition has a standard Level 2 semi-autonomous driving system. This combines the Lane Keep Assist with the Adaptive Cruise Control, making the daily commute more pleasant. According to Fiat, the 500e is the only electric vehicle in the supermini class to feature a Level 2 hands-on driver assist technology.

Beneath the skin lies the same electric motor that generates 117 horsepower (119 ps/87 kW) and 162 pound-foot (220 Nm) of torque. Despite the relatively poor output and thrust, the model can reach 60 mph (97 kph) in a very decent 8.5 seconds. With the 42 kWh battery pack charged, it has an estimated range of 149 miles (240 km). A full charge takes around six hours at an 11 kW connection.

Fiat says the new 500e Inspired by Los Angeles will arrive in showrooms in North America in the third quarter of the year. The model starts at $36,000 before the $1,595 destination charge, which is identical to the 500e Inspired by Beauty and the 500e Inspired by Music. The 500e RED kicks off at $32,500 in our market.
